On 26th-27th of September University of Studies of Padua hosted the First Year Consortium Meeting of the #IMPACT project (Cardiogenomics meets Artificial Intelligence: a step forward in arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy diagnosis and treatment), funded by the European Union.
The IMPACT project’s Annual Consortium Meeting took place in the beautifulcity of Padova, Veneto, on September 26-27, 2024. Hosted by Università degli Studi di Padova, the two-day event brought together leading researchers and partners, who engaged in insightful discussions, shared project updates, and planned the next steps in advancing therapeutic approaches for arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM).
The event began with a warm welcome from Prof. Luigi Bubacco, Head of the Department of Biology, setting the tone for the collaborative discussions ahead. Partners from the IMPACT project then presented progress on various work packages. Key updates included showing early results in AI clustering on ECG/MRI data of ACM patients. Innovative AI-assisted clustering of ARVC phenotypes and single nuclear RNA sequencing from human tissue were also explored. Discussions continued with presentations focusing on predictive genetics and preclinical model development.
The meeting ended with dynamic round-table discussions on omics data and IPSC culture quality control, setting the stage for even greater advancements in the coming year.
