\ud83d\udce2 We are proud to announce the publication of a new scientific open access publication developed within the framework of #IMPACT<\/strong>, contributing to cutting-edge research on arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM).<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd2c The study, titled \u201cIntegrated phenotypic and transcriptomic characterization of desmin-related cardiomyopathy in hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and machine learning-based classification of disease features<\/em><\/strong>\u201d has been published in #EuropeanJournalOfCellBiology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\ud83e\udec0 This study offers an integrated phenotypic, functional and transcriptomic analysis of desmin-related cardiomyopathy caused by a pathogenic mutation in the #DES<\/strong> gene, using hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes.<\/p>\n

By combining advanced imaging, engineered heart tissue (EHT) models, and machine learning-based analysis, the research reveals how the mutation disrupts cellular structure, mitochondrial function and contractility.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca1 The results demonstrate how AI-driven phenotyping and stem cell-based cardiac models can advance the understanding of arrhythmogenic and desmin-related cardiomyopathies, paving the way toward precision diagnostics and novel therapeutic strategies.<\/p>\n
