✨ During the FrontiersInCardioVascularBiomedicine congress, organised by the European Society of Cardiology in Leuven (🇧🇪) last April, Dr. Martina Calore and PhD candidate Antonella Serrecchia presented recent IMPACT results through an invited talk and a poster selected for a moderated poster session.
🔬 The talk focused on IMPACT’s 3D hiPSC-based microtissue models, generated from patients with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM). They are designed to reproduce key aspects of the disease in vitro, including fibro-adipose replacement and structural changes in desmosomes.
Within IMPACT, this platform will help researchers better understand disease mechanisms and explore new potential therapeutic strategies. 🧬
👏 Congratulations to Martina and Antonella for bringing IMPACT’s research to such an important international scientific forum!
